Ivy Blackman is the Head Librarian at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. She received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College and her MS in Library and Information Science with a certificate of concentration in Rare Books and Special Collections from Palmer School, Long Island University. Blackman’s professional affiliations include ARLIS/NY: Art Libraries Society of North America, New York chapter and Out of Bounds, the 46th Annual Conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America. Blackman has spoken and appeared on panels for FIT Professional Development Day; NYTSL: New York Technical Services Librarians; and The Sexy but Obscure World of…Art Librarianship, New York University.
