Jennifer Tobias is the Reader Services librarian at the Museum of Modern Art, New York. She is a graduate of the City University of New York’s Art History program. Her 2012 doctoral dissertation is “The Museum of Modern Art’s What is Modern? Series, 1938–1969”. Tobias curated several exhibition at the Cullman Education Center at the Museum of Modern Art: Artists’ Alphabets (2012), Freedom of the Press: Artists Publish on the Presidency (2009), Machine for Living Color (2008), and Documenting a Feminist Past: Art World Critique (2007). She has contributed to numerous publications, including Cabinet, CAA Reviews, and Journal of Design History.
