Nicolás Garrera-Tolbert is a philosopher, psychoanalyst, poet, and translator (English/French/Spanish). His philosophical research focuses on issues that lie in the intersection of ethics, phenomenology, and speculative realism. Currently, he is working on a manuscript on the philosophical foundations of the Lacanian concept of subject. His work has appeared in Investigaciones Fenomenológicas. The Journal of the Spanish Society for Phenomenology, Horizons. Studies in Phenomenology, Interpretationes, and Acta Mexicana de Fenomenología, among others. He has recently edited a multilingual compilation of essays on phenomenology and speculative realism (2021) and his first poetry book (2022). As a teacher, he has taught a wide range of philosophy courses (both at the graduate and undergraduate levels) in different cultural and academic settings (Argentina, Brazil, the United States, Belgium, and Czech Republic), most of them on phenomenological topics, logic and the theory of arguments, and the philosophy of art.
