Sunny Alonzo, Class of 2027

Sunny Alonzo holds a BFA from California Institute of the Arts in Photography and Media with a dual minor in Creative Writing and Social Science. Their work is based in finding their own voice in their many identities while simultaneously helping others find theirs in a world full of secrecy and taboo.

Sunny's interest in curation stems from many self built solo exhibitions as well as taking part in a number of group showings over the years. Alonzo has showcased their photo and video work in cities such as Chicago, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

With their experience in visual narrative and storytelling, they hope to lift up marginalized voices and create inclusive spaces through their curatorial practice.
