Émilie Renard is the Director of Bétonsalon – Center for Art and Research in Paris. At Bétonsalon, she directs an exhibition and research program situated within Université Paris Cité and concerned with the relationships among artistic production, pedagogy, institutional structures, social histories, and public life. Her recent curatorial work includes the 2026 exhibition hibou tv show, developed with Vincent Enjalbert and Elena Lespes Muñoz, as well as ongoing research and production programs supporting artists’ engagement with archives and alternative historical narratives. Renard previously directed La Galerie, the contemporary art center in Noisy-le-Sec, and has organized exhibitions, research projects, publications, and pedagogical programs independently and in collaboration with institutions in France and internationally. Her work often examines collective methods of production, vernacular knowledge, feminist pedagogy, language, care, and the conditions under which art and institutions are made.
